About the Composition
- Broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic with increased stability to Beta lactamase
- Highly active against beta lactamase producing strains which are resistant to ampicillin and penicillin.
- Highly active against skin & soft tissue infections caused by S. aureus, S. pyogenes, E. coli, Klebsiella Enterobacter.
- In meningitis Cefuroxime has superior penetration into CSF compared to other cephalosporins
- Blocking an enzyme (beta lactamase) produced by bacteria to inactivate antibiotics
